Since its founding in 1958, Textilia has evolved from a Danish family business into a Nordic group, operating in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Lithuania. Growth has mainly been driven by strategic acquisitions — with more than 50 companies joining the group and 15 new laundries established along the way.
Alongside this expansion, sustainability has remained a driving force. Over the years, Textilia has set new standards for environmentally responsible practices. In 2009, we launched the Viima cleaning system, which went on to receive the European Business Award for the Environment. Since then, we have introduced numerous initiatives in upcycling and textile recycling.
Today, Textilia has commited to the Science Based Targets initiative and is working purposefully to reduce our climate footprint throughout the entire value chain. With our latest acquisitions in Norway and the opening of our first Swedish cleanroom facility in 2025, we continue to unite growth, innovation and sustainability across the Nordic region.
